Mother Arnetha Laverne Clark, 81, traded in her peasantry garb for her new robe to join those that had gone on before on Christmas Day 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Mira Vista Health and Rehabilitation Center. VISITATION: Friday, December 29, 2017 from 1 pm to 8 pm with the family present from 7 PM to 8 PM in the Clarence J. Jimerson chapel of Serenity Funerals and Cremations. THE MATRIARCHAL GLORIFICATION will commence on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the eleventh hour within the sacred walls of the Freshly Anointed Baptist Church, 3507 Crenshaw Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76105 where Dr. G.L. Durham serves as shepherd of the flock. INTERMENT: Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Rendon, Texas. Mother Clark was one of twelve children born to Willie Jack and Francis Butler in Alma, Texas. She matriculated through the schools of Ennis, Texas finally culminating with her commencement in 1954 from George Washington Carver High School where she was proud Wildcat. Mother Clark had made Fort Worth her home for the last 61 years and worked as a seamstress at various cleaners throughout the city. She retired in 1998 from her vocation that she loved so dearly. Arnetha went on to glory to join those gone on before including her parents, Willie and Francis Butler; husband, J.C. Clark; daughter, Gwendolyn Butler; brothers: Clarence, Elvin, Davis Ray, Carl and Doug. As the river Jordan is in her sight and the celestial throne is in her reach, she waves goodbye to those left behind to cherish her legacy and her memory; her daughter, Cheryl Moss (Theron); her son, Curtis Butler; brothers: Willie Butler (Emma), Alvin Butler and Wayne Butler; sisters: Barbara Nell Allen, Johnnie Faye Young and Doris Calhoun; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters in Christ and a host of other relatives and friends.
