Oluwantobi Tobi Mr. Ijoyah

On the twenty-ninth day of July nineteen hundred eighty-four in Warrensburg, Missouri a bouncing baby boy was born to Anthony Ijoyah and F. Adebisi Amoda. They named him George Oluwatobi Ijoyah, affectionately called “Tobi”.

The family would later move to Arlington Texas and Tobi would matriculate in the Arlington ISD, graduating from Lamar High School in 2002.

To be in a room with him was to know him. Very early on in his life Tobi committed himself to making friends; he was never afraid to step out of his comfort zone. To his family he was a source of energy and inspiration. To his friends he was the same. Tobi was a protector and measured his life against his ability to make life better for his family. Though his condition caused him to live much of his life in pain, he was devoted to making the people around him laugh and smile. Tobi was a lover of music, both as a fan and a writer.

Tobi was a Christian, who in spite of the adversity thrown in his way believed until the very end. Tobi believed in Jesus Christ and after a two month journey, publicly accepted Christ as his personal Savior on September 1, 2013. The Lord saw fit to move Tobi from his earthly dwelling to his eternal one on September 4, 2013. Tobi is in heaven telling jokes to angels, making music with some of his biggest inspirations and living free from all illness.

Those left to cherish his memories are parents; Anthony Ijoyah and F. Adebisi Amoda, brother; Oluwasola Ijoyah, grandparents; Alhaji F.A. Amoda and Mrs. G.M. Amoda, uncle; Abraham Amoda, aunts; Dupe Amoda, Moji Amoda and Remi Evborokhai (Isekhua), cousins; Funmilomo, Judith, Nathan, Jordan, Nicole and Jessica and a of other relatives and friends.
