Service of Celebration for Ms. Elizabeth will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at 11am in the Clarence Jimerson Memorial Chapel of Serenity Funerals. You may visit her earthly remains at the funeral home on Monday, April 30th, 2018 from Noon-7pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Her Life Journey: A time to be born... On July 26, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, Elizabeth Fay Milligan was born to proud parents John D. Milligan, Sr. and Lottie Mae  Adams (Smith). She was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District and was a proud graduate of I.M. Terrell High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. A time to cherish… After graduation she went on to school to become a LVN. She worked for many years as a LVN and healthcare professional at John Peter Smith Hospital and Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospitals. She later worked as an educator in the Fort Worth Independent School District. She loved working as a Teacher’s Assistant and retired after 18 years of service. She met a handsome young man named, Ollie E. McKenzie and after a period of courtship the two were wed on October 5, 1968. To this union they were blessed with two wonderful children, Alleana and Ollie, Jr. Elizabeth had a very lovable personality. She lived her life blessed with a host of friends and acquaintances over the years, many of whom are here today. Known for her fun loving nature; friends and family have fond and personal memories of those special moments each shared with Elizabeth. Think about your moment. We all have them. Her smile, her laugh, the sparkle in her eyes, those memories are all so vivid. She was a very spirited woman. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends and of course she loved a good backyard BBQ. A time to die… On April 22, 2018, Elizabeth exchanged her earthly life for her heavenly life. She is now reunited with her parents; John D. Milligan, Sr. and Lottie Mae Adams (Smith), grandmother, Eva Mae Adams and her sister, Billie Jean Lovely. Leaving her legacy… She leaves her children, Alleana D. McKenzie and Ollie E. McKenzie, Jr. (Monica) and their father, Ollie E. McKenzie, Sr.; grandchildren, Michael E. Parker, Jr (Ashley) and D’Andre L. Fuller; siblings, John D. Milligan, Jr (Debra) and LaVerne Green (William); special friend, Robert D. Hewitt, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
