On August 25, 1959, in Fort Worth, Texas, a precious baby girl was entrusted to Eural William & Clemmie Tatnull. The proud and happy parents would name their gift from God, Felicia Raye. Oh, what joy she would bring to their hearts and into their home. Felicia was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District, where she attended all three Dunbar schools and graduated Dunbar High School, class of 1977. After she graduated high school she went on to use her talents in many areas of her life. Felicia loved her family! Some of her most precious time was spent studying the word of God. She also enjoyed shopping and cooking. But most all spending time with her beautiful children, Marsha, Minnece and Muriel. Oh, but there was one more love she enjoyed and that was spoiling and loving on her adorable grandchildren. The unbreakable bond and friendship she shared with her family will span a lifetime. She will always be missed by the children she loved to work with over the years. She had a beautiful smile, but dont let that fool you, she was very straightforward, but never cruel or ill intentioned. To know Felicia was to know her worship was for real. We may not have known her story and all the things she had been through, but she did not let any circumstances keep her from worshipping the God of her Salvation. She lived a life of purpose, endeavoring to do the will of God. As an active member of Heritage of Faith Christian Church, Felicia served in various ministries. We dont know what she had to go through, and we may never understand her praise, and we shouldnt try to figure it out. We just need to know that her worship was for real! As I journey through the land, singing as I go, pointing souls to Calvary to the crimson flow, many arrows pierce my soul from without, within; but my Lord leads me on, through Him I must win. Felicia Raye Brown joined the heavenly host on June 30, 2016. She has cast her crown at Jesus feet and is now sitting at the welcome table with both her Heavenly Father and her earthly father-Eural William Tatnull. Those left with beautiful and precious memories of Felicia are her beautiful children; Marsha Stephanson (Lorenzo, Jr.), Minnece Fails and Muriel Roberson, her mother; Clemmie Tatnull, siblings; Vincent Tatnull, Cassandra Smith, Vedra Walker (Victor), Hope Jones and Clemmece Haley (Joey), grandchildren; Gabrielle, Lorenzo, III, Kailynn and Mekhi and a loving host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
