Mr. Harvel Dean Peoples, 61, a former shipping clerk for Texas Refinery, walked the golden stairs into glory on Friday, March 8, 2013, at a local care center, surrounded by his loving family. Service of memory: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Clarence Jimerson Memorial Chapel of Serenity Funerals & Cremations, the Rev. Ned Armstrong of Greater Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Dallas, officiating. You may visit Mr. Peoples as he rests in solemn repose from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was a member of Mitchell Boulevard Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hellois Peoples; brother, David Douglas Peoples; and sister, Cressie M. Peoples. Survivors: Those left to cherish his loving memory are, loving wife, Peggy Peoples; children, Tara Talton (Omega) and David Peoples III (Eunice); seven grandchildren; father, David Peoples Jr.; brothers, Robert E. Lee (Nancy) and Walter J. Peoples; sisters, Helen Estes, Lola Peoples and Betty Lias-Shaw (Lee); special aunt, Letha Goffney; and a host of other relatives and friends.
