Jacqueline Turner

Jacqueline Burton Turner was born September 1, 1953 in New Orleans, La. She was the cherished
daughter of Odeal Stills and Percy Burton. She was the elder sister of Joyce Parker Osum(James), Sharon
Parker, Almeta Parker, Aaron Parker (Rosalyn), and Frank Parker(Vanessa). She was the Step sister of
Winfred Dalcour.
Jacqueline was educated in the New Orleans Public School System. She was a proud graduate of
McDonough 35 High School where she participated in the Upward Bound Program. After High School
Jacqueline studied at Dillard University.
Jacqueline accepted Christ at an early age and she was baptized at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in
December 1969 by Reverend J.H. McNeely.
Jacqueline relocated to Texas in 1999 and she settled in Wylie, Texas. She worked at First Preston HT
Real Estate Management in HUD acquisitions for 19 years until she retired in 2019.
Jacqueline raised and nurtured Madison Olezene from the age of one year old. Madison would grow to
become Jacqueline’s entire world. Jacqueline would lovingly speak of how much more joy and love
Madison brought into her life. Madison and Jacqueline’s bond was strong and the two were
inseparable.
Jacqueline departed this life on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 8:45am, surrounded by her loving family.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her mother Odeal Stills, with whom she was extremely close. She is
also preceded in death by her Step-father O.C. Parker, her niece Rhondra Odeal Olezene, and her
Godson Daniel Pankey.
Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Madison Olezene; her siblings Joyce Parker-
Osum, Sharon Parker, Almeta Parker, Aaron Parker, and Frank Parker; her Godson Jonathan Parker,
nephew Christopher Parker(Trenise), niece Chanel Olezene-Taylor (Chadwick), and a host of nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.
