Minister Larry Earl Cummings was born February 23,
1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to John and Valerie
Cummings. He attended G.W. Carver Elementary, James
E Guinn Elementary and I.M. Terrell High School.
He met his wife Benetha Hamilton at Dunbar High
School where he worked and Benetha was attending night
classes on upholstery. He united in marriage with the
love of his life on May 25, 1990. The two joined together
with their children and created a family filled with
laughter and love.
They attended Christian Outreach Center until the Lord
called him to be a traveling Evangelist. He worked with
several ministries: New Beginnings and The Lord’s
House. After several years, he came back to Christian
Outreach Center and fellowshipped there until he
transitioned.
He was a devout man of faith. He believed in what the
Word says about God’s people being prosperous and
lived to see the manifestation of it in his own life. His
favorite scripture was Mark 11:22-24.
Min. Larry was a giver. Each year he would give school
supplies to James E. Guinn Elementary School, and he
would feed children after service at various churches. He
loved working outdoors in his yard and garden and
always helped his neighbors with theirs.
He joins in Glory: His father and mother, John and
Valerie Cummings; his brothers, Lonnie Cummings and
John Wayne Cummings; his sisters: Gloria Fay Stevens
and Karen Michelle Cummings; and his daughter
Yolanda Hicks.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife, Benetha
Cummings; his children: Larry Duane
Cummings(Joella), Demetris Johnson, Jennifer Jones,
Matricia Washington(Calvin), Lionel Hamilton, Jr.,
Roderick Hamilton (Crystal), Byron Hamilton, Paul
Moore(Vicky), his God-daughter Charity Moore; his
