FORT WORTH -- Having laid up more treasures in heaven than he ever amassed on earth, Ronald Mills Sr. went home to Heaven to receive his reward on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2823 N. Houston Street. Ronald Mills Sr. was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Fort Worth, where he was a proud graduate of I.M. Terrell High School. Mr. Mills was reared in Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, where he later became Deacon Mills and served faithfully until he moved his membership to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Deacon Mills retired from General Motors in Arlington after 33 years of dutiful service. He was an avid bowler and great sports enthusiast. Survivors: Those left with precious memories of Deacon Ronald Mills Sr. are his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary A. Mills; his loving children, Ronald Mills Jr., Anthony Mills (Detra), Adrian Mills, Kenneth Mills (Shelia), Kevin Mills and adopted son, Jack Yarbourgh (Minnie); adorable grandchildren, Vanessa Mills, Ariel Evans, Ashley Mills and Kenneth Mills Jr; two great-grandchildren, Amari and Kennedy Siggers; siblings, Beverly Pope, Brenda Veal, John Ella Stewart, Sandra Johnson, Janice Carter and Larkus Mills; and a host of other family and dear friends.
