Wilbert Riley Robinson

Wilbert Riley Robinson, age 78, passed away on August 22, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on July 2, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Melvin Roberts and Etta Mae Robinson. He and his eldest brother, Clinton Robinson were raised by their maternal grandmother, Ophelia Johnson. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin & friend. Wilbert was known for his vibrant personality and straight-shooting attitude. He loved refinishing antique furniture and he definitely loved the casinos. He also loved helping his wife Linda take care of the 12 veterans in the group home where she worked. He used to be their barber and he would help with transporting her clients to Dr.'s appointments etc. He loved music and dancing, and he especially loved hanging out and spending time and talking with one of his best friends, Linda Woods. Last but certainly not least, he came to know and love his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wilbert was proceeded in death by his mother; Etta Mae Robinson, his grandmother; Ophelia Johnson, his father; Melvin Roberts, son; Jermaine Ra'mon Williams, sisters; Gloria Helen Coar and Florene Roberts. Wilbert is survived by his lovely wife of 3 1/2 years and together for 5 years; Linda Kay Ervin Robinson, 5 brothers; Clinton Robinson (Mayme) from East Orange, New Jersey, Donald Ren'ee Allen (Carolyn), Carl Roberts (Tarjure), Andre Dewayne Polk (Melanie) and Phillip Earl Trotter (Claudia), 4 sisters; Pamela Roberts Jimison, Vicky Roberts Smith, Shameya Roberts Hill (Joe), and Crystal M. Bell, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
