Zuri Malik Hudson, was born December 26, 1997 in Fort Worth, Texas to the proud parents of Nekita Hudson and Dirk Washington.
He grew up and attended the Fort Worth Independent School District at Carroll Peak Elementary School, Morningside Middle School, Polytechnic High School and Carter Riverside High School.
Zuri loved playing basketball, listening to music and was an avid video game player. His favorite game was NBA Y2K.
At an early age Zuri was dedicated to the Lord at the Greater True Light Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Roland Walton and later joined the First Saint John Cathedral led by Bishop Kenneth B. Spears where he was a member of the Youth Choir.
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, Zuri Malk Hudson traded his controller and video games for his “Heavenly Home”.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Nekita Cheese; father, Dirk Washington; siblings, Quinton Hawkins, Dirshelle Washington and Candyce Washington; grandparents, Melissa Ahmed and Arthur Hudson (Debra); great grandmother, Iva Smith; uncles, Quincy Kerr, Anthony Francis and Carlos Francis; aunts, Meshea Hudson, Renetta Francis and Armecia Hudson ; great aunt, Martha McDade and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
